BRIEF HISTORY OF ADE-OLA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
ADE-OLA International School was born out of passion for child education on the 6th of September 1999 by the amiable and indefatigable Mr. & Mrs Olaosegbe.
The school took off at the temporary site, D78 Gado Nasco Road, phase 2 site 1. The school officially commenced its 1st academic session on the 6th of September 1999 with five classes and forty-six pupils.
The school’s first public examination was the national common entrance examination in April 2000 with eleven pupils and the pupils performed credibly well. The pupils’ enrolment continued to increase by the day, which brought about the permanent school site at plot 135A P-layout, phase 2, site 1 new extension, Kubwa.
The primary pupils were moved to the permanent site for academic convenience.
On the 16th of September 2006, the school kick started the junior secondary school with thirteen (13) students for 1st term 2006/2007 academic session. As time went on, the need for a senior secondary arm became obvious, thanks to the unshaking commitment and dedication of the staff and management of the school.
In September 2009, the school commenced 2009/2010 academic session with the senior secondary school. All these arms of this great institution have done tremendously well, since their creation, taking part in so many competitions and examinations with credible performance and awards. The school marked her twentieth year anniversary in 2020 with an elaborate celebration and awards to pupils, students and members of staff.
AIS is a learning citadel born out of a fervent vision and commitment to pioneer higher standards in education that will stem the tide of the ever failing standards of the Nigerian education sector and assuage the yearnings of parents for a higher, more wholesome academic standard and excellence in life.
The school also gives adequate attention to the development of moral excellence and the building of exemplary character, without which greatness cannot be sustained. AIS have grown from the pre-school level to senior secondary 3, since it established. The school is situated in two locations, just few meters away from each other. The buildings are modern, sophisticated and conducive for learning with a beautiful play-grounds – we recognize that play times are necessary for sound learning, but more important, are the fact that play times exploration time when children get to know themselves get their minds better and exhibit several aspects of their personalities.
