A GOOD FRIEND IS WORTH MORE THAN SILVER AND GOLD

Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It is not something you learn at school, but if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship you really haven’t learned anything.

My mom lost a true friend last week, the woman was married with children, they hit it off with my mum and as she describes it ‘’ she was always there for me’’. Kids describe the phenomenon as having someone’s back.

Friends are there to celebrates with you when things are going so well you think you are the luckiest person in the world.

Your friends will know you better in the first minutes you meet than your acquaintances will know you in a thousand years.

Friends are not going to give you a pass. If they think you are wrong they will tell you, they will tease you every chance they get, point out flaws and foibles and telling you embarrassing stories about incidences you wish would remain forgotten.

I remember opening a Facebook account and my phone was beeping with friend request. I meet a lot of people from different walks of life and call some my friends. Which lured me to the feeling that friends were made easily but now I have woken up from my slumber and realized that ‘’ no matter how many friend requests are beeping on your phone, a true friend is one in a million.’’

And sometimes friends will die, leaving huge friend sized holes in our hearts. It is horrible but the pain of losing a friend is far outweighed by the love, support, comfort, and joy their friendship provided you while they were alive.

‘’ OLD FRIENDS ARE GOLD, NEW FRIENDS ARE DIAMOND, IF YOU GOT DIAMOND DON’T FORGET THE GOLD BECAUSE TO HOLD A DIAMOND RING YOU NEED A BASE OF GOLD.
