THE MIND; THE BATTLEFIELD

The mind is the element of a person that enables him/her to be aware of the world and the experiences, to think and to feel; the faculty of consciousness and thought. As a result of this, the mind eventually becomes the battlefield where affairs of life are being decided, weighed, criticized and determined.


Why the call for attention to the mind as a battlefield?

Battlefield is a ground or a place on which a battle is fought. It is also a place or situation of strife or conflict. Battlefield of the mind is a real concept; it is a consciousness we all must embrace because out of it are the issues of life. The mind has to be guided in order for negative and pessimistic beliefs not to rob us of our abilities and inherent potentials

Every individual has the capacity to become whatever he or she wants to become in life. It is our thought patterns (mindset) that actually position us in the directions of actualization whether for good or bad. Your thought patterns are what actually attract things to you. If we are negative in our thoughts, it will metamorphose into unpleasant outcome for our eyes to behold and, if we are positive even when it is not so convenient to think positive about the situation, we end up beholding possibilities and we will eventually be making the most of great opportunities out of it. Being negative drains, the act of draining yourself with negative thoughts fortifies the mind with walls of limitations. You must embrace the fact that one must look beyond the present conditions or situations of life and set our minds on positive long term goals. We should endeavor to think right and I bet you, you are on your way to the top.


Ways to improve your mindset.

1. Learn meditations of great things

2. Make personal development a priority for yourself

3. Look beyond the present no matter the situation at hand.

4. Accept that change will happen with or without you, accept that life is short and time is precious.

5. Focus on your long term goals and vision and take your mind away from the present distractions.
